ADULT DIAPER - RFID PAPER
Invented and patented by Pitney Bowes, this technology uses paper and ink connected to an RFID chip to send a signal. After a review in the summer of 2012, it was determined that this technology may hold the answer to a vexing problem in the Nursing Home industry where over 60% of the nursing home residents are incontinent. Health and safety regulations require that the nursing home staff check the status of the resident’s adult diaper regularly throughout the day and night. At this time the only way to accurately check the status is a manual check that is disruptive and humiliating. To maximize the protection of this idea, the IP Factory has filed a provisional patent with the US Patent Office. The IP Factory is actively seeking licensing partner(s) for this first product opportunity.
Based on the revenue stream from this license the IP Factory will start a company to pursue the other product ideas that came from the commercialization review. Besides a series of other products that come from the moisture detection system, this technology can be used in data detection on forms for surveys, etc.
